I was born in Manitoba and have been designing artistic creations for as long as I can remember, working with all sorts of mediums.
In 2005 I decided to take it a step further and do a little something for friends, whose words of encouragement inspired me to launch my own business...
>There were 10 kids in my family and Dad, being Military, moved us all across Canada before settling in the Ottawa valley when I was about 7 years old.
We eventually bought 10 acres of land and had to build a barn before we could bring any animals to the farm. Before doing that, however, we had to build a basement upon which the house could be set! I learned a lot about construction in those days!
My parents weren't rich by any stretch of the imagination. I wore hand-me-downs most of my life. That's where I learned how to sew. I had to alter every piece of clothing I ever got so I just started designing my own clothes.
I spent 20 years in Montreal where I was involved in the music scene. I was a disc jockey for 15 years, managing a few bands and stages as well as working in various retail music stores, and had the time of my life. In 1993, while working at one of the larger bars in Montreal, I had an exhibition of my art work. I sold more than 60% of my pieces, two of which were used to advertise a bar both in
ad campaigns and on t-shirts, and realized that I should try to make something of it.
In 1999 I moved back to Ontario to help my mother care for my ailing father. I managed the local hardware store for 4 years where I received training in paint techniques and colours as well as electricity and plumbing.
I have belonged to several theatre groups and take great pride in some of the
sets and
costumes
I have helped design and create.
All of this leads us to today... I got tired of working for "The Man" and decided to start doing what I do best for others. I am constantly working on this site to give you an idea of some of that work. I hope you enjoy what you see and if there's anything you need done be sure to contact me .
